The truth about Catholicism Part 1 (Mary)

June 10, 2018

If, you are a catholic reading this I want you to know this was written out of love and great concern for your destiny. I ask that you would read the following information with an open heart and realize that the scriptures teach something contrary to catholic doctrine. There are many devout catholics which are trying to please the Lord. But, they have been deceived. This article will expose the false doctrines and corruption within the Roman Catholic Church one by one. I will quote the Catholic Catechism when needed to prove the Catholic Church teaches the heretical doctrine.

1. Mary is a mediator for our prayers
CCC 2677
"....Mary is Mother of God and our mother; we can entrust all our cares and petitions to her: she prays for us as she prayed for herself: "Let it be to me according to your word." By entrusting ourselves to her prayer, we abandon ourselves to the will of God together with her: "Thy will be done."Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death: By asking Mary to pray for us, we acknowledge ourselves to be poor sinners and we address ourselves to the "Mother of Mercy," the All-Holy One....
The bible teaches there is only one mediator and his name is Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

2. Immaculate Conception of Mary
The Catholic Church teaches that Mary was free from Original Sin and that she never commited any sins.
This is official catholic doctrine from
CCC 493
"The Fathers of the Eastern tradition call the Mother of God "the All-Holy" (Panagia), and celebrate her as "free from any stain of sin, as though fashioned by the Holy Spirit and formed as a new creature". By the grace of God Mary remained free of every personal sin her whole life long. "Let it be done to me according to your word. . ."
This is a blasphemy beyond words. If Mary were sinless we would not need Jesus Christ because Mary could literally be our saviour. Mary was a very godly woman but she was far from perfect.
The bible teaches Mary needed a saviour.
Luke 1:46-47
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
This verse clearly debunks the idea that Mary was sinless.

3. Mary remained a virgin
The Catholic Church teaches that Mary remained a virgin her whole life.
CCC 510
"Mary "remained a virgin in conceiving her Son, a virgin in giving birth to him, a virgin in carrying him, a virgin in nursing him at her breast, always a virgin" (St. Augustine, Serm. 186, 1: PL 38, 999): with her whole being she is "the handmaid of the Lord" (Lk 1:38)."
The bible teaches Jesus had many siblings
Matthew 13:55-56
"Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?"
It is uncertain how many siblings Jesus had, but from the above verse we know he had at least 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Luke 8:19, Mark 3:31, Matthew 12:46  and Galatians 1:19 also teach that Jesus had siblings.

4. Worship of Mary
The Catholic Church adores and worships Mary
CCC 971
"All generations will call me blessed": "The Church's devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship."515 The Church rightly honors "the Blessed Virgin with special devotion. From the most ancient times the Blessed Virgin has been honored with the title of 'Mother of God,' to whose protection the faithful fly in all their dangers and needs. . . . This very special devotion . . . differs essentially from the adoration which is given to the incarnate Word and equally to the Father and the Holy Spirit, and greatly fosters this adoration."516 The liturgical feasts dedicated to the Mother of God and Marian prayer, such as the rosary, an "epitome of the whole Gospel," express this devotion to the Virgin Mary."
This is Idolatry at its finest. The bible teaches elsewise. In this following example a woman approaches Jesus and praises his mother but Jesus rebuked her.
Luke 11:27-28
And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
