Debunking Baptismal Regeneration

June 17, 2018

There is a heresy taught by nearly all denominations today known as Baptismal Regeneration. Baptismal Regeneration is the belief that a person must be baptized to be saved. This is a blatant lie from the pits of hell that has deceived so many people. In this article we will learn the truth about Baptism.

The Catholic Church teaches Baptismal Regeneration in CCC 980 it says
It is through the sacrament of Penance that the baptized can be reconciled with God and with the Church:Penance has rightly been called by the holy Fathers "a laborious kind of baptism." This sacrament of Penance is necessary for salvation for those who have fallen after Baptism, just as Baptism is necessary for salvation for those who have not yet been reborn.
Many Pastors use Acts 2:38 to justify their stance on Baptismal Regeneration
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
These Pastors do not have any knowledge on Dispensationalism nor do they know how to use it. Acts 2:38 is not even being addressed to Christians. Look at Acts 2:5 it says, "there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews".
Christians do not show up until Acts 11:26 so this verse has nothing to do with a Christians salvation.
Another point to make is Peter was addressing saved Jews as he had called them "Brethren" in verse 37 just behind it. So, these saved Jews had asked Peter what to do and Peter told them "Be Baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins". This verse really isn't difficult if you just have some common sense.
The phrase "for the remission of sins" does not mean in order to have forgiveness of sins. The word "for" has two basic definitions:
1. In order to receive something
2. Because you already have something
Example of 1.  "Shoot a goal for the win"
Example of 2. "Here's a band aid for your wound"
The second definition is what this verse is using here. Further confirmation of this is found in the Greek word used for "for" which is εἰς (eis) and means "Among, to, towards".
This is what Paul said regarding Baptism in 1 Corinthians 1:14
I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
and verse 17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
If Christians need to be baptized to enter heaven, then Paul would be a false prophet as he just admitted he wasn't sent to baptize. And if Paul is a false prophet, then you can throw out 13 of your New Testament books in the garbage. So why do Pastors teach Baptismal Regeneration? The answer is simple. They do not have a heart after God and they do not care about your salvation in the least.
I am here to tell you that your salvation rests solely on the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

I care about your salvation and I do not care one bit about the money in your wallet. I just want you to know the truth and I used the bible to prove it to you.

May the Love of God abide in your heart always, Amen.
