This will be a short article as there aren't too many verses addressing this subject The Bible does give the idea that certain people will receive a greater condemnation and therefore there must be different levels of torture in Hell.
14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
In the above verse Jesus is condemning the scribes and pharisees and says "therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation" this phrase gives the idea that these people will be tormented to a greater degree than others.
Jesus also said that after they proselytize that they make this proselyte "twofold more the child of hell than yourselves" This phrase definitely gives the idea that Hell has varying degrees of torture.
Next, we will take a look at the book of Isaiah
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
He that rejoiceth shall go to Hell? Remember, always interpret scripture with scripture and never come to your own conclusions. Let's see what the book of John has to say
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Notice a correlation here? Good. As you can see, the Bible teaches the people that enjoyed their sins most will burn the most.
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
(Similar verses to this for reference Matthew 11:23-24, Luke 10:13-14)
Notice how the Bible says there will be different levels of toleration on the judgment day.
I think the above quoted verses is enough evidence to safely assume there are different levels of torture in Hell.
How to escape the condemnation of Hell? Believe on Jesus Christ alone for your salvation and not your own works
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
May Christ be with you, Amen.
