Hell is NOT the Grave!

June 24, 2018

There are a group of heretics known as Jehovah's witnesses and Mormon's which teach that Hell doesn't exist. This is one of the most Satanic lies ever hatched out of hell. The reason these goofs deny the existence of Hell is because they themselves are afraid of God's judgement. After careful study of scripture there should be no doubt in your mind that Hell is a literal place of torment and it does not even slightly resemble the grave!

In bible theology there is a doctrine known as "The Law of first mention" which basically means that when the Bible first mentions an important subject it will usually give you a definition of what it is. Here is the first time the word Hell appears in your KJV 1611 Bible.
Deuteronomy 32:22
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Does this sound at all like a Grave, like the Jehovah's witnesses teach? Is there a fire burning in the Grave? Nobody in their right logical mind would even assume such an idiotic idea. This verse alone should be enough proof to show you Hell is a literal place of torment. But, it doesn't stop there. I'm gonna put the nail on the coffin in this false doctrine that Hell is a grave.

Psalms 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

The above verse says the wicked shall be turned into hell. If Hell were the grave, then this verse would be pointless and stating the obvious as everything that lives will go to the grave eventually.

Next, I will show you a proverb that also debunks this.
This proverb has to do with chastising your child.
Proverbs 23:14
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Think logically for a second now. WIll beating your child ever actually stop him from dying and going to the grave? NO, it never has and never will prevent a child from dying! Beating a child, however, will help prevent a child from going to a place of torment.

Does crying exist in the Grave?
Jonah 2:2
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

Crying does not, and will not ever exist in the grave. Crying does however, exist in Hell.
Some of the greatest examples that Hell is a place of torment come from the New Testament. The New Testament brought light into what Hell really is.
Matthew 5:22
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Let's interpret this from the mind of Jehovah's witness for a second. "shall be in danger of grave fire". What does that even mean? That sentence makes no sense whatsoever. There is no fire in the grave and whether you call someone a fool or not plays no part in your eventual death on earth. But, if we just read the verse as it really is (Without adding our own interpretation) then it becomes obvious that Hell is a literal place of torment.
When rebuking the Scribes and Pharisees Jesus said
Matthew 23:33
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Again, how can this be the grave? There is no damnation in the grave and everyone goes there eventually anyway so this phrase would be pointless to say if it were the grave.
And now I saved the best for last. The story of Lazarus and the Rich man completely destroys this false idea that Hell is the grave.
Luke 16:22-24
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

The Rich Man is clearly tormented and burning in Hell. There is no need to debate about this doctrine. Anyone that refuses to believe in Hell is clearly denying scripture and does not want to believe what the Bible says.
